Lots of Photo Shoots

This weekend has been photography, photography, photography... LOL Which in my world = fun, fun, FUN!!!!! :)

Here is a taste from the 5 shoots I did over the weekend. :)

I am still alive

I thought it was important to tell you that. LOL I am still alive and living life. Not sure if I am going to keep on blogging, but for now I am inspired so I figured I may as well fill you in on what I have been up to.

Firstly, I started a new job. I have been there about 6 or 7 weeks. I am working for the Heart Foundation looking after the database for the Walking program. It is a massive program and a huge job, but it is a lot of fun and it is a great place to work. When I decided to quit my job this was the very first job I applied for, the first one I did testing for, and the first one I interviewed for. I guess it was meant to be. :)

Other than that I have been working hard on my photography, both my course work and my own interests. I have started doing actual photo shoots for my friends and am discovering what I do and don't like to photograph. One thing I have only done a few times but am loving is pet photography.

I have also been doing some sewing and recently finished two baby quilts for Ross's friends who just had twins.

We also got another pet....

His name is Trevor - although we don't exactly know if he is a boy or a girl, but Trevor seems like a great name either way. These were taken at Easter so he is much bigger now. He is so cute and really entertaining.

It's been a while...

This year has been a year of extreme busy-ness and very little time for writing or blogging. It has been a good year though and lots of exciting things are happening for me, many of which I choose to keep to myself.

The big thing this week though, is that I quit my job yesterday. I do not have another job lined up which is a little freaky since I am the breadwinner of the family, however it is the right thing for me to do right now. After 5 and a half years of doing a job I really don't like, I am finally taking a stand and doing something that is right for me.

It is a little scary, but at the same time very exciting.

Welcome to 2012

Well, we made it through another year. Lots of changes. Lots of decisions. Lots of fun. 2011 was pretty awesome. 2012 is going to be better. More photos. More time spent with friends. More fun.

I have 2 simple New Years Resolutions:

To increase my fitness to a point where I am cycling 100kms in a day

To make a significant improvement in my photography

An extra 2 hours a day

That is all I really need, just an extra 2 hours a day, then I could keep this updated, get my photo time in, my family time, see my friends... No, perhaps I need an extra 4 hours a day. :)

I have some great pics to share from the Mid Summer Masked Fae Ball on the weekend but I am not near a computer that I can upload them on to. Hopefully I will get it done in the next few days.
