It looks really interesting, yet I am struggling to fully understand it as it says that you can do whatever distance and route you like but you need to go to certain checkpoints.
If anyone has any information or details on it I would love to hear about it.

I haven't heard of it before, but it looks like fun. I read Cathy's explanation on your Facebook post (I went to primary school with Cathy incidentally... small Adelaide lol) and it sounds interesting. Not that I'd be any good at planning a route seeing as I have zero sense of direction, but I like the idea :0)
